Your safari begins with pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or Kampala. You will drive westwards through beautiful countryside landscapes, local villages, tea plantations, and rolling hills toward Kibale Forest National Park.
You may stop at the Equator for photos and lunch en route.
Arrival is usually in the evening with check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest headquarters for briefing before starting the chimpanzee trekking experience.
Kibale is known as the “Primate Capital of the World” and hosts over 1,500 chimpanzees plus several monkey species.
After the trek and lunch, continue south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or nearby Lake Bunyonyi for overnight stay.

This is the highlight of the safari.
Early morning, proceed to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before entering the forest.
The trek can take between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family. Once located, visitors spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas. Uganda hosts more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
After trekking, return to the lodge for relaxation or optional community visit.

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch en route and another stop at the Equator if desired.
Arrival is usually in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of the safari.
