Jinja & the Source of the Nile
Adventure capital on the world's longest river. Jinja sits where the Nile leaves Lake Victoria on its long journey to the Mediterranean. Just two to three hours from Kampala, it is Uganda's adventure capital.
White-water rafting on the Nile is world famous, with full-day trips on big rapids or gentler floats for families. Kayaking, stand-up paddling, bungee, quad biking and sunset cruises fill the rest of the menu.
Jinja is a great start or finish to a safari, or a short break on its own.
