Lake Bunyonyi
Islands, terraced hills and calm water. Lake Bunyonyi winds between steep terraced hills near Kabale and is dotted with small islands. It is the perfect place to rest before or after a gorilla trek.
Paddle a dugout canoe between islands, learn the stories of Punishment Island, visit ridge-top villages and craft makers, or simply relax on a lodge deck as the mist lifts.
The lake is about an hour and a half from Bwindi's Rushaga sector and links neatly with Mgahinga.
